    Hi Wilduck

LEM can collect Windows events log by deploying agents on target computers or without using any agent. Indicate your choice by selecting Without Agent or With Agent option. If you select With Agent option, you need to specify whether you want to use Standard Agent or Advanced Agent.
When we want to monitor any remote computer’s Event Logs & remote computer is using firewall or some permission restrictions in that case we install an agent to the remote computer it’s a small .exe file which create a bypass route and establish proper communication between local and remote computer

Standard Agent: Up to windows server version 2003
Advanced Agent: For windows server 2008r2 and further upgraded version

Note: Using Advanced Agent option requires .Net Framework 4.0 on the remote computer(s)

feel free to ask anything .
