Why Lepide Event Log Manager needs SQL server to configure

Just have a doubt that why Lepide Event Log Manager needs SQL server to configure even it fetches the event from windows server.

Sorry if its a stupid question as I am new to Windows server

    Thanks for raising this question

The reason is that Native Event log management tool Eventviewer deletes some events time to time so if we want to archive the events which are more than a month old, might be unavailable in native Event Viewer.
So Lepide Event Log Manager uses SQL server database for long time archiving the events

Feel free to ask any doubt you have regarding the tool, we will be glad to help

    Thanks

If you don't have SQL database just download and install SQL Express from the link below for free

this will work with the software

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/sqlse...s/express.aspx
