Please tell me what it installs in the Active Directory or on the domain controllers to gather the AD information?
Are agent installed on the DC’s to capture these changes in AD
The software has both the options whether you can use it with agent or without agent. You can find that option while adding the DC under Domain Management. if you tick the check box of Agent it will install on your DC
Will it give full audit of changes/modifications/deletions made to active directory and can I filter these changes by administrator who made them, how long can we keep the data?
Yes, It will do full Audit for any changes/modifications/deletions made to active directory, you can also filter them out according to your need also the data will never be deleted from the software; you can save the reports in desired format (.PDF, .MHT, .CSV)
Will it allow me to alert on a change of group membership i.e if a rogue administrator put a user into a domain group or create a domain administrator. Can it email management?
Yes, It will give an alert if there is any change occur in group membership also after configuring the Email Settings you can receive Email Alerts for the same.
