How does log collection happens for sql server auditing in auditor suite

how it is collecting the logs. This shouldn?t be proprietary information, and should be available from anyone familiar with the development of this application. I just need to know if it is using triggers, reading the trace files directly, or accessing the trace data through the API. This is a very important question for our applications.

We don't use the API. The following below are used:-

We use sql server trace files for collecting changes.

SQL server writes those changes in the trace file.

We use an SQL server function "fn_Trace_Gettable()" to read changes from the trace file.

Then our agent writes these changes in the audit database.
