Lepide Software Asset Management

While scanning a system the software is displaying errors. What could be the reason?
If in case, while scanning a system the error message is appearing, then you need to check the same, by performing the steps mentioned below:
  • Verify the user login credentials provided to the tool.
  • Check whether the network is in healthy situation or not.
  • Make sure that the targeted user computer is in working condition while performing the scan process.
I tried creating groups, but I am unable to do so. Why?
Before you create or add a new group, make sure that the computer system where Lepide Software Asset management is installed and running, has read and write permissions. In case the Write permission is not provided, software will not perform the activity of creating or adding groups.
I am unable to see the tabs Quick Overview, Settings and Detail Report for a particular computer in a group. Why?
In order to view all the tabs for reports section, the computer must have been scanned at least once with Lepide Software Asset management software. If in case you can only see the pie reports and not the detailed reports then verify the Settings tab on Main Window. Scanning details might have been deleted from the list of the particular computer. Now re-scan the computer and the required tabs will become visible again.
License Management tab is not showing any information. What is the reason?
The License Management tab displays information when at least one of the computer systems is managed in a group as well as is scanned.
The License management tab is not showing software information which was visible earlier. How can I make the information visible again?
This happens when certain information has been hidden through the Hide Records function. In order to make the information visible again, unhide the software record.
I cannot save reports in any format?
While saving reports in any file format, make sure that the system has full read and write access permissions.
The system visible in License Assignment tab becomes invisible later on. Why so?
License Assignment tab helps to assign licenses. When the system is managed in any group, it automatically appears in this tab too. If in any case, a system has been deleted from any group, then it will also automatically disappear from the License Assignment tab.
