Lepide Active Directory Self Service
Having updated details about users' personal information, users' password status, and users' account status is must for an administrator to shed off delays in work and increase productivity. Lepide Active Directory Self Service tool facilitates the administrator collecting users' account status and users' password status related information through the reports generated by it. The reports generated by LADSS can be broadly divided into following categories:
- General Reports
- Audit Reports
Whether you want to generate General Reports or Audit Report, you first need to select the domain for which you want to generate the report. Generating General Reports provides the administrator with information, such as how many users' accounts are locked out in the selected domain, passwords of how many users' are expired in the selected domain, and so on. Reports so generated under the General Reports section are listed below:
- Locked Out Users: Provides information about the users whose account has been locked. Depending on the information provided, the administrator can take the required action like can unlock the locked out account.
- Soon-to-Expire Password Users (Expires in .. days): Provides information about the users' accounts whose passwords are going to be expired in specific days. Based on the report generated, the administrator will come to know that password(s) of which user(s) will be expired soon. Based on that information, the administrator can configure settings for automatic password reset so that the employees' productivity will not hamper.
- Password Expired Users: This report provides information about the users' whose account has already been expired.
- Enrolled Users: Enlists the users, who have enrolled in the database of LADSS for getting its advantage. This report provides information, such as user name, user's SAM account name, user's account expiry date, user's email address, and user's telephone number.
- Un-Enrolled Users: Enlists the users, who have not enrolled in the database of LADSS even after a notification email has been delivered by the administrator.
Though, Lepide Active Directory Self Service allows end-users to perform self-password reset, self-account unlock, and self-information update; keeping an eye on who has performed which operation using LADSS is must for the administrator. The administrator must have updated information on the operations performed by various end-users using LADSS; therefore, Audit Reports are added in the software. Audit Reports in LADSS include:
- Reset Password Audit Report: Provides list of the users' who have reset their password within the specified time.
- Unlock Audit Report: Enlists the users' who have unlocked their locked out accounts within the time specified by the administrator while generating this report.
- Self Update Audit Report: Provides a list of the users who have updated their information in windows Active Directory within the specified time.
