Whilst we are seeing a move towards the cloud, and an uptake in more integrated and systematic approaches to data handling (such as using big data to drive better patient outcomes), there still exists a vast amount of legacy data. There are also vast amounts of new data being created that isn’t being identified and therefore isn’t being protected and may present a risk.
