Issue
While configuring or auditing Exchange On-Premises in the Lepide Data Security Platform, the following error is encountered:
ALLMB.txt not found
This prevents the Exchange mailbox auditing configuration from completing successfully.
Symptoms
Exchange On-Premises auditing cannot be configured.
The application reports that ALLMB.txt is missing.
Mailbox discovery does not complete successfully.
Cause
The ALLMB.txt file is not generated because the Non-Owner Mailbox Auditing configuration has not been completed. Running the Non-Owner Mailbox Auditing wizard generates the required configuration file (Nonownerconfig.txt) containing the PowerShell commands needed to enable mailbox auditing.
Resolution
Follow the steps below to regenerate the required configuration file:
Open Lepide Data Security Platform.
Navigate to Settings.
Select the required Exchange Domain.
Click Properties.
Go to Advanced Domain Configuration.
Open Non-Owner Mailbox Auditing Settings.
Select All Mailboxes.
Click Next.
Click Next again to begin loading all mailboxes.
Wait for the mailbox enumeration process to complete.
Click Finish.
After the wizard completes, a file named Nonownerconfig.txt will be generated.
Final Step
Open the generated Nonownerconfig.txt file.
Follow and execute all the instructions/PowerShell commands provided in the file in exchange server.
Once the commands have been executed successfully, retry the Exchange On-Premises configuration.
The ALLMB.txt not found issue should now be resolved.
Expected Result
After completing the Non-Owner Mailbox Auditing configuration and executing the commands from Nonownerconfig.txt, the required mailbox information is generated successfully, and the ALLMB.txt not found error is resolved. Exchange On-Premises auditing should then function as expected.
