Exchange On-Premises Troubleshooting – Partial Exchange Servers Not Getting Audited:
Issue:
Some Exchange On-Premises servers appear as excluded and are not getting audited correctly under Non-Owner Mailbox Auditing.
Cause:
The Exchange servers listed in the following file are considered for Non-Owner Mailbox Auditing:
LDSPInstallationPath\Domain\NonOwnerConfig\MBMapList.txt
If an Exchange server is missing from this file, it will appear as excluded in the Lepide console.
Resolution Steps:
Step 1: Stop the LDSP Service
On the Lepide server:
Stop the LDSP Service.
Step 2: Clear the NonOwnerConfig Folder
Navigate to:
LDSPInstallationPath\Domain\NonOwnerConfigDelete all files present inside the folder.
Step 3: Stop LDSP Service on Working Exchange Servers
On the Exchange servers that are currently working/audited:
Stop the LDSP service.
Step 4: Clean NonOwn Folder on Affected Exchange Servers
On the affected Exchange servers:
Navigate to:
Windows\LP_LA\NonOwnPerform the following actions:
Delete the MBList folder.
Delete the MBList file.
Remove all additional files and folders inside the NonOwn directory.
Ensure that only the executable (.exe) files remain inside the folder.
Step 5: Start LDSP Service
Return to the Lepide server and
Start the LDSP Service.
Step 6: Wait for Configuration Sync
Allow approximately 5–10 minutes for the configuration to synchronize across all Exchange servers.
Expected Result:
All Exchange servers should automatically reconfigure and begin appearing correctly under Non-Owner Mailbox Auditing without showing as excluded.
