Creating a New Profile for Other Platforms - Lepide Identify

Lepide Identity allows you to create Profiles for multiple platforms, including NetApp, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Linux, Unix, and more.

1. Adding a Profile for NetApp Filer

  • Choose the NetApp Filer component.

  • Add the Username and Password.

2. Adding a Profile for Exchange OnPremise

  • Choose the Exchange OnPremise component.

  • Add the Server Name/IP.

  • Add the Username and Password.

3. Adding a Profile for Exchange Online

Global admin rights are required for Office 365 components.

  • Choose the Exchange Online component.

  • Add the Exchange Server Name.

  • Add the Tenant Name, Client ID, and Secret Key.

  • Click the Information icon for guidance on generating the Client ID and Secret Key.

  • Click Enumerate Mailboxes. A list of Mailboxes will be displayed.

  • Select or deselect mailboxes.

  • Use Select All Items or Remove Selection icons if needed.

  • Click Next once selections are made.

To add On-the-fly Classification:

  • Enter the Thumbprint value of the tenant’s certificate.

  • Choose the Windows Cluster component.

  • Add the Username and Password.

5. Adding a Profile for SharePoint OnPremise

  • Choose the SharePoint OnPremise component.

  • Add the Central Admin URL.

  • Add the Username and Password.

6. Adding a Profile for SharePoint Online

Global admin rights are required for Office 365 components.

  • Choose the SharePoint Online component.

  • Add the Central Admin URL.

  • Add the Client ID and Secret Key.

  • Click Info to see how to generate the Client ID and Secret Key.

  • Click Enumerate Site Collections.

  • A list of Site Collection URLs will be displayed.

  • Click Next after selections.

7. Adding a Profile for OneDrive for Business

  • Choose the OneDrive for Business component.

  • Add the Tenant admin URL.

  • Add the Client ID and Secret Key.

  • Click the Info icon for help generating Client ID and Secret Key.

  • Click Enumerate User Accounts.

8. Adding a Profile for Dropbox

  • Choose the Dropbox component.

  • Add the Server Name.

  • Add the Authentication.

  • Only the Select Object(s) step changes for each platform. All remaining steps (Assign Templates, File Types, SQL Settings, Classification Method, Agent Installation) follow the same process as shown in the Windows File Server Profile section.

  • Office 365 components require global admin rights.

  • Always ensure classification agents are installed properly on remote systems when needed.
