Published Jun 23, 2026The Customer informed us that they had newly purchased the Lepide solution 24.4 and wanted to add a new file server in the file server module of Lepide.
The steps performed to add and configure the file server in Lepide are as follows:
Go to the Settings – File server
Click on the “Click here” button next to “To configure File server” as shown below:
In the LDSP for File Server - Settings Console, click on Add File Server - Single – Windows as shown below:
On the page called “Add File Server(s) you want to audit and click Next”:
Enter the File Server Name or IP that need to be added and audited.
Verify the rest of the options on this page and click Next
In the SQL server information page, click Test Connection to test the SQL connection and create a new File server database:
Click on Next and the Agent is installed:
After the installation of the agent, click on Finish
We will now create a rule and Policy for that newly installed file server:
Set up Archiving for the newly created file server from the Archive & Import module.
