️ Updated Sep 10, 2026The Customer us informed that the Active directory module is showing Data insertion failed in the details section.
The steps taken to troubleshoot the issue are as follows:
Customer informed that the data insertion is showing failed in the details section of the Active Directory module.
Customer was on 24.4 version and we checked that the customer was using SQL express.
Checked the size of the database from SQL server management Studio. The database size reached to 10 GB.
Explained to the customer that SQL express has a limitation that if the database size reached to 10 GB limit then the auditing will stop and the data will not be inserted into the database.
Created a new database from the Lepide console. Go to the AD properties – database settings- then create a new database in the Select Database option.
Carried out some changes in Active directory and ensured that the reports are generating updated records.
Suggested to the Customer that they upgrade the Solution to the latest version as well they can upgrade the SQL server from Express to Standard. In that case there will not be any database size limitations.
