Issue:
The Lepide Data Security Platform is getting frozen repeatedly or becoming unresponsive during usage.
Cause:
This issue may occur due to continuous generation of Lepide AI alert logs, which can accumulate over time and impact application performance, leading to freezing.
Resolution:
Please follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
Step 1: Delete Existing Alert Data Logs
Navigate to the following path:
Program Files (x86) > Lepide Data Security Platform > Predefined Alerts > Email Accounts > Alert Report > DataDelete all files in the Data folder permanently.
Now go to:
Program Files (x86) > Lepide Data Security Platform > Predefined Alerts > Email Accounts > Alert Report > LepideAIDataDelete all files in the LepideAIData folder permanently.
Step 2: Disable Alerts from Web Console
Open the Lepide Web Console using the Super Admin account.
Navigate to the Detects section.
For each alert:
Click on the Edit icon from the Actions column.
Change the Status to Disabled.
Repeat the above step for all alerts.
Log out of the Web Console.
Step 3: Restart the Application
Restart the Lepide Data Security Platform.
Result:
After completing the above steps, the application performance should improve, and the freezing issue should be resolved.
Additional Notes:
These steps help in clearing excessive Lepide AI logs that may cause the application to freeze.
Disabling alerts prevents unnecessary log generation in the future.
You may enable only the Failed Logon alert to monitor specific users generating high failed login attempts.
Recommendation:
Please monitor the application performance for 1–2 days after completing the steps.
