Issue
File Server reports are generated but contain no data.
No file activity is displayed in the reports despite auditing being enabled.
The File Server agent is installed, but no events are reflected in the reports.
Cause
A corrupted or empty EventInfo file on the File Server agent can prevent the agent from processing events correctly, resulting in blank File Server reports.
Resolution
Reinstall the File Server agent.
Uninstall the existing File Server agent.
Install the latest File Server agent.
Verify whether the reports are generating data.
If the issue persists, verify whether the logs are being accumulated and processed by the agent.
If the logs are not being accumulated or processed, proceed to check the EventInfo file.
On the File Server, navigate to:
<File Server Name>\C$\Windows\LFSAgent
Locate the EventInfo file and check its size.
If the file size is 0 KB, delete the EventInfo file.
Reinstall the File Server agent.
Restart the File Server to ensure all agent components and services initialize correctly.
Once the File Server has restarted, allow the File Server agent to reconnect and begin accumulating and processing events.
Generate the File Server reports again and verify that the reports are now populated with data.
Expected Result
After deleting the corrupted EventInfo file, reinstalling the File Server agent, and restarting the File Server, the agent should resume accumulating and processing events successfully, and the File Server reports should display the expected data.
