Published Sep 09, 2026Customer informed us that the Auto Archiving is not working in case of File server module.
The steps to troubleshoot the issue are as follows:
Checked the version of Lepide is 25.1 the latest version.
We checked that the Lepide server and SQL server are installed on the same machine, also the databases for Lepide are also on the same drive where the solution is installed.
We observed that the space of the drive is very small.
Tried to generate the reports for File server that was causing issue with Archive, it was also taking a lot of time to generate.
Checked the size and creation date of the database by going to the SQL server management Studio as shown in the screenshot below as a reference:
Checked the data creation date was from last year and the size of the database is also approx. 200 GB.
Created a new database in the file server module and ensured the reports are generating updated records now.
Also configured the Archiving for that file server as shown below in the screenshot. Schedule the archiving for the newly created database.
We checked and found that there is very limited space available on the drive. We suggested that the customer free up space on the drive and then observe the Auto Archive process.
We also suggested to the Customer that they can move unused databases to another drive to free up space on the current drive.
