Executive Overview

TechWorX have been providing IT consulting in the greater Tucson area for over a decade. They specialize in providing Network Design, Installation & Support, Unified Communications, Presence & Collaboration, Network, System, Storage, & User Administration, Cloud / Hybrid Support and Services & Administration to companies of all sizes and sectors.

TechWorX are a large IT consultancy employing over 500 people. They operate in a sensitive environment often handling pertinent data relating to their client’s IT infrastructure. They needed to find a proactive means of keeping track of changes being made to IT systems to enable them fix IT problems faster and strengthen security through improved audit controls. The specific problem they were trying to fix was keeping track of changes being made to Active Directory. They needed a simple means of auditing logon and logoff detail, password changes, group changes and permissions. They also wanted to understand on an administrator level changes being made to their Active Directory Schema and Domain controllers. They recognized that trying to proactively monitor these things using native tools was neither feasible, secure nor economical.

TechWorX evaluated a number of vendors before choosing LepideAuditor, they carefully trialed each and found Lepide was not only the best value for money but also delivered more relevant functionality. They found Lepide easy to install and were impressed with the detailed reports they were able to get. LepideAuditor gave them complete visibility as to what their IT team were doing on a day to day basis. It allow them to quickly identify logons and logoffs, password policies and changes along with general auditing of Active Directory Schemas and domain controllers. One of the key things that also stood out for TechWorX was the ability to create threshold alerts to help spot potential issues, along with the delegated reporting console to ensure separation of audit duties – neither of which were available with most of the other competitors they trialed.
